National Amateur Retriever Club Announcement

As we all know, the safety and protection of the Retriever Community remains our top priority. At this time, the board has determined that the next National Amateur championship will be in Mondovi, Wisconsin in June 2021.

Only the dogs that were qualified for the canceled 2020 championship will be prequalified for the 2021 event. As a reminder, the qualification period ended on June 7, 2020 for the canceled 2020 event. Therefore, all qualification points for 2021 will start on June 8, 2020. Please note that all qualifications are subject to full payment of club membership dues for 2020 and 2021.

Additional information regarding the 2021 National Amateur will be coming soon!

ACCOMMODATIONS CHEBOYGAN – 25 minutes from trial grounds 
There is very limited airing at some of these motels. However, the Fairgrounds (home to the Cheboygan County Fair) is allowing use of their facility for airing. It is fenced and has lighting at night. It is about five minutes from the listed motels in Cheboygan.

2020 NARC QUALIFIERS​

Qualification Requirements: A 1st place carrying five Championship points plus two additional Championship points in Amateur and Owner-Handler All Age Stakes and in Open, Limited, Restricted, and Special All-Age Stakes when handled by an Amateur in AKC Member or Licensed Trials. Winners of the previous year’s National Amateur Championship Stake and the Canadian National Amateur Stake are automatic qualifiers. The winners of the National Championship Stake and Canadian National Championship earn automatic qualification when handled solely by an Amateur in said Nationals.
